Why The Media Must Help Governor Fayose

I think there's a conspiracy against my governor. I've not heard or read that he has commissioned any road or hospital or school since he became governor. If he's not attacking Buhari, he's eating amala in Iya alamala shop or paying #10,000 for one roasted plantain.

Haba! Nigeria media, are you saying this is all Fayose does? I know his special assistant on social media has turned himself into Olisa Metuh; he never fails to tell us what Buhari has done or failed to do. But please, biko, you people - the media - should help Fayose showcase his handiwork. You know, unlike Fayemi who felt he was not only responsible to Iya alamala, iya oniboli and egbe olokada, but also to students, professionals, technocrats, diasporas etc, and so, made efficient use of the media and social media, Fayose thinks otherwise; there's no feedback whatsoever. Although I reside in northern Nigeria, Fayemi brought Ekiti state to me when he was governor. The state government Facebook page and Twitter handle have now practically ceased to exist. This is why you must help Fayose.

I think he talks too much. I think he's achieved nothing significant in Ekiti state. I think he's just the business as usual kind of governor. I, however, want to believe that this opinion I have of him is borne out of ignorance.

So, I want you, the media guys, to help my ignorance. I want to know what he's done in the agricultural sector, health sector, educational sector, etc. Has he built any blocks of classrooms? I want to know what he's done with the teachers in terms of capacity building. What is he doing to increase the productivity of Ekiti farmers? I know all states are experiencing cash crunch now, so, I want to know what he's doing to cut costs and improve the state's IGR without sending the poor and vulnerable deep into poverty.

Is it that Fayose is doing nothing news worthy? I don't understand why the news coming out of Ekiti is always about  Fayose eating amala and flushing it with zoborodo or Fayose criticizing Buhari.
