. . . Anybody, Anything But The President, By Mark Ademola Israel

Honestly, I think it's unfair to blame the president for every heap of rubbish we come across on the streets of Nigeria. It's like blaming the broom for the poor job done by the sweeper. OK, just imagine that #CNN lady - whatever her name was - blaming Mr Jonathan for the unprecedented and perpetual rise in oil theft since he took over as president. Did she not know that Nigeria is bordered by an infinitely endless mass of water?

Some mischief makers are even blaming him for the epileptic power supply. Can you imagine? How do they expect him to fix power in 6years when it took 20years to destroy it? We all know it's easier to destroy than to build.
I know that all these white people think he's grossly incompetent and lacks the requisite leadership qualities to govern but we all know who is feeding them with lies, don't we? Those 'children of anger' from SaharaReporters are to blame for the poor image of the president. They are bent on bringing down this government. They are unpatriotic. Just last week they accused the military of corruption - who doesn't know that those pot bellied men are uniformed thieves? But are we supposed to wash our reeking bedspread in the international laundry? Where's the nationalism? The patriotism? The president makes a little slip of tongue and they blow it up. That the president didn't know If Mubi was in Adamawa or Borno could not make him less a president. In fact, it shows that he's human & liable to make errors. Did NTA not refer to Niger state as Northwestern Nigeria? And they didn't even apologize for the error.

Some even go as far as blaming the innocent man for the excesses of his wife. I wonder why some people do not use their head; why should the president be responsible for a 57year old woman, even If she's his wife? On a final note, we shouldn't even think of blaming him for the military's incompetence in tackling insurgency; president Obama must be blamed for that for refusing to see helicopters to us. Blame anything, anybody but our humble president for the bad. Remember him and give him glory for the good, that's how to be patriotic.
